Faceless bueracrats breaking down doors with the back up of armed police to snatch babies away from parents....Communist Russia?...maybe China?....No. It's right here in Sydney, Australia as we approach the new millenium. And the new director of DOCS, Carmel Niland, who was appointed to stop this lunacy from happening, actually endorses these actions. SHAME!!!...She should immediately resign and those involved be stood down and a full, open and independant inquiry held. This sort of abuse of power should be an election issue, just as much as tax reform or unemployemnt. Again I say SHAME!! on all those involved.

Hi Adam, Suzanne and AJ.
It was with absolute horror that I watched the scenes before us on Tuesday night. I could not believe that the DOCS workers or the police obviously feel that they are above the law. How is it that these people can operate without showing any ID or any papers outlining their reasons for being at your house in the first place.
I feel that Carmen Nyland should resign, we don't need a jackboot mentality at any time but especially at the top of our community for CHILDRENS services. I feel the two cretins that arrived at your door should have a long hard look at their chosen proffesions as they are certainly not well suited to the job they are in.
I would also not stop there as I feel that the police officer who broke down your door perhaps needs to take a refresher course in public relations as he was not LISTENING. I would have thought that was essential for a police officer otherwise how can they establish what the conflict is all about??
I wish you both the best with your fight as I agree that if you don't fight for this it will happen again.
