I think this is disgraceful. Putting parents through this kind of torment, for no good reason, and making allegations that are absurd. NO-ONE has the right, unless medical advice is sought, to take a child away from the parents and deem them unfit.
I really feel for both of the parents in this situation.

It is far too often that do gooders step WAY beyond the boundaries of what is reasonable concern, and develop a picture in their mind consisting of a whole lot of abstract thoughts and call the outcome solid fact. I do not know much of the situation, but I believe that from what you are saying that the Childrens and Family Services people grossly overstepped the innocent until proven clause. We have had similar problems ourselves with Do-gooders who say they are professional but handle delicate issues in a most unprofessional manner. Our son suffers from ADHD and ODD, and after 5 Family group conferences with CYPS (NZ), and him having to live in foster care for nearly two years, only now they are finding that they have made a great deal of very hurtful, very misjudged decisions that have reaked havoc on our family situation. Only now are they giving our boy (11) back to us. We have also had 2 CYPS workers on our doorstep. Believe me I know what it feels like. I can tell that the only way we got through it was to have people pray for us. We got through it, but it wasn't an easy road by any means. Has your lawyer asked for the Police files and the C&FS files? I don't know Australian law, but in New Zealand , a Lawyer can ask a judge to make an order for all documentation to be produced. Anyway, hope all goes well.

What has happened here is totally
disgusting. How can we let this happen in our country,
when we are supposedly democratic, a free nation etc etc. It is time someone took the people that do this
