I cannot tell you, how much reading your story and other's have done to make me feel that I am not alone.
My nightmare with DOCS began in 1992 - I rang them for help,I was desperate as I finally had enough of an abusive relationship with my childs father. They (DOCS) twisted my call and without my knowledge made it a notification against me!
Later in 95 my child had access, Yes, she at first was as expectedly uncomfortable and I thought nothing more, it was Court ordered as he sought access, it wasn't until unsupervised that her behaviour instead of improving became worse, suddenly scared to go to the toilet, she would begin screaming when I started to undress her for the bath, to the point she wouldn't have a bath unless wearing her under pants.
DOCS were informed by myself and several others regarding this perculiar out of character behaviour, they called me an idiot, then, my child ended up in the Sexual Abuse Clinic at 4 1/2yrs nothing was confirmed or dismissed, Father was never questioned.
In Sept, 98 she was attending the Childrens hosp. Westmead as an outpatient for burn dressing and a Doctor Ranata Bazina pointed to a very small bruise above her right buttock, I didn't know how this happened but racked my brain for an explanation, 2 days prior both, yes I have 2 children, were misbehaving and after repeatedly asking for them to behave resorted to an open hand smack to their bottoms, I said "It may have, been caused from my smacking her, however, I don't know". this Doctor Bazina reported this to DOCS without my knowledge and they sent 2 men to my home 2 days later.
I did not know my rights and co-operated. They never took photos, D.O.Renee Burns destroyed a document then had Sr. Jennifer Cavanagh (W.C.H) do likewise. They were never disciplined for this action. Without visible evidence of such bruising exagerated by the Doctor, I was found to be abusive. My younger child remains with me, they say, they have no concerns, alledging my eldest was scape-goated. They had their own Psychologist Terry Kesby-Smith write in favour of the Father.
they placed my little girl with him after 13 months in a institution, we recorded on video an access then we were gagged from videoing anymore or access would be cancelled. My daughter states on the video that she is scared, the people tell her heaps of times to live with Dad. when I got a Barrister they got the Crown. I believe they prey on families, afterall, if we didn't have kids they'd have no job!
Even my Grandfather on his death bed was denied the right to see her, they fought at allowing her to attend his funeral. My parents (who are no threat) were supervised, even her younger sister, they have put the fear of God into my child with weekly councelling. They are what I consider "the devils playground" beginning with this Childs Help line, is another way of creating a file on that unsuspecting family.
Sometimes, when the nightmare begins - it never ends.
