This is an Update for you on my submission of November 1999
Less than 6 Months Later here is what has happened.
DoCs Finally got back to me with a response. They stated that my son could be still at risk from sexual abuse as he still sees his step father on a regular basis and that the mother is struggling to give him the mental care he needs, But in turn their recommendations said that DoCS are to stay out of Jasons Life and Jason is to continue living with his mother. Despite what there investigations brought up.
Then the community Services Commission oulled out and said it was to much, to complicated for them to continue, but still i have not recieved this confirmation in writing.
No it comes to April 2000 and the storey unfolds again.
The last time Jason was handed to me on a platter, it took a great deal of work to help him adapt to a life with boundary's....bla bla bla........if you want to know his history you will have to browse this site. Anyways for the out comes of his stay with me (Two years ago), he was completely normal off medication for ADHD, Physically Healthy and actually growing. He also excelled in sports and became socially accepted in and out of school. No letters were received from school at all about his behaviour!
His Mother, after seeing this change, fought strong and hard for custody, even to the point of getting the corruption of the Department of Community Services on here side to lie about alleged abuse in my Home. (Browse this site). Of course the courts awarded the mother custody and Jason returned to Tumut. He went back on medication for ADHD, his physical health deteriorated and his sports and schooling played second fiddle to his mothers social life. Early this year I began to receive disturbing letters from Jason's school about his uncontrollable behaviour, to the point where the school had to report it to the Police and DOCS. Of course nothing came of this. Then the PHONE CALL came from his mother who once again wanted me to "SORT HIM OUT". After all that fighting and lying and hell Jason's mother and the Department of Community Services put me through 2 years ago, here we are again, back at the beginning starting over.
Once again when Jason arrived, it was a sad sight to see how skinny and sunken Jason had become; watching him as he walked off the plane. His attitude was a lot harder to deal with given his age now.
Basically the law was laid down, supervision is something Jason knows he wont be without. An appointment was held with the principal of the school and a constant parent and teacher relationship is always in play. Jason is in gymnastics twice a week and trains the rest for little athletics. Homework makes up for much of his spare time as does constant reprimand for his outbursts. This is a full time job and puts a massive financial burden on our family not to mention the undeserving stress levels on our other three children. Of course I will do what it takes and help my son but by the same token I will hold the DOCS & The Family Court responsible in their past decisions and unwillingness to address the case as a whole.......as this site so chronologically does. Suffice to say this will end back in court.
In Court I will simply point out that for both Jason, myself and the rest of my family; that we cannot continue to live this way. If custody is to be considered a privilege awarded by the courts and only to be taken for granted; or given away when the going gets a little tough; then perhaps due to bad decision making Legal Aid can once again take the financial burden themselves and continue to waste taxpayers money as well as the Family Court & DOCS further divide family members against each other.
From there I have no doubt, the courts will discriminate against me...judging the case with a narrow view failing to reprimand the mother who is so empowered by both the Family Court system and DOCS, by what she holds between her legs. The child will simply be returned, with me being the one to be reprimanded in one form or another (as usual). Only to wait for the next phone call to "SORT HIM OUT".
PS: Jason told my wife today that he hates it at home because his new step father (4th Father figure) Kicks him when he is naughty, and that he will not go home when his mother is not around because he hates what his step father does to him. He spends days with his uncle to get away from this so called step father...what the hell am i going to do...DoCS wont listen???
